This weekend we celebrated Juhannus, or the Midsummer, in Finland. It has some things in common with San Juan, as calls Kokko bonfires,
but the main difference is that the sun doesn't set in all night, being the
longest day of the year.
Definitely a night I will never forget, full of new
experiences, because I was fortunate to celebrate it in a Cottage, a
traditional Finnish house in the middle of nature, made of wood and without
running water. We did a BBQ, went by barque to the other shore and enjoyed the
traditional Sauna, where you refresh yourself bathing in the lake.

Este fin de semana celebramos Juhannus en Finlandia, o lo que
viene a ser lo mismo la festividad del solsticio de verano. Tiene algunas
cosas en común con San Juan, pues se prenden hogueras llamadas Kokko, pero la
principal diferencia es que el sol no se pone en toda la noche siendo el día
más largo del año.
Sin duda una noche que no olvidaré repleta de nuevas
experiencias, pues tuve la suerte de celebrarlo en un Cottage, la típica casa finlandesa situada en mitad de la naturaleza, construida en madera y sin agua corriente.
Hicimos barbacoa, dimos una vuelta en barca hasta la otra orilla y disfrutamos
de la Sauna tradicional, en la que te refrescas bañándote en el lago.
