THE MOST ARTIFICIAL CITY IN THE WORLD

A few weeks ago I traveled by boat from Helsinki to St. Petersburg. The city really surprised me, is a city with two faces, one gold and polished, perfect and beautiful, and another one old and abandoned, ruined with the passage of time and neglect. Populated by monumental buildings and avenues, is dotted with more than 700 historical monuments many of them palaces, cathedrals and churches. The feeling when you walk through its streets is moody, on one hand you feel a certain insecurity in the streets and due to immense military environment, on the other hand you feel captivated by the beauty and gold of its buildings. Despite having been destroyed during the Second World War, is still warning the wealth and power of the czars.
